immigration matter.family rejoin?
HELLO
I was married to a US citizen in 2001 after the waiting time i was approved and got my work permit card and opened up a new business every thing was OK.in Jan 2003 we were scheduled for an interview but at that time my wife go in some trouble dealing with some drugs and went to jail about a month before our interview appointment i was afraid that this issue will effect my statues .nothing happened then.
in the same month i had to sell out my business and go back to my home country because my mother was ill and i had to be next to here . now after these years i and my wife are still married and we call each other. i talked to a lawyer and he told me that i might have to reapply all over again.
is ether any way i could go back to the USA by applying to some kind of a visa other than reapplying all over again.
something like rejoin with my wife.
please help.
Moe.
No, at this point, given the amount of time you’ve been out of the US, you would need to start the process all over again by having your wife file a new petition, etc., etc., etc. at least that is possible, since you’re still married.
