Do the British people want a government that will listen to, and act in accordance with, their views?
On the face of it, this probably looks like a dumb-a$s Q. However, if you look back over the contents of this and other forums there does seem to be a rising tide of voices all crying out against dictatorship and perceived (or maybe real) government corruption. Against lack of, indeed OMISSION of, any consultation on certain matters. Think EU. Think Iraq. Think immigration. Think UK infrastructure.
So, I’m not just talking about the ballot box at election time. I’m talking about consultation ALL the time.
Would you abandon your traditional Party and vote for one that promised you the right to an ongoing say in government and which, more importantly, DELIVERED on that promise?
Boss: The “establishment” would have no choice. Email me.
Yes but the reality of the actual system is that this country is run by civil servants, most of whom have been educated at establishments like Eaton.
So their views are tainted and future policy is tainted, all the figure heads and party’s do is supply the manifesto under which they want the country to run and the civil servants then implement as best they can the party’s policy.
So the man or woman at the top is just like a ships captain, he / she may give order but its the crew that steer and power the ship.
Until this country wakes up to the reality that we STILL live in a CLASS society we will never get heard.
