i need to know more about immigration regarding a tax sponsor?
ok so our case is at a hold untill we turn in taxes unfortunately i didnt make enough to cover 3 people last year im going to ask family and friends to sponsor me but i need to know how this will effect my sponsoror and what i tell them i know i need their w2s and 1099 and proof of employment but does this effect then in anyway? with taxes or government issues? any immigration lawers out there to answer or anyone that has gone through this? also i know it takes about 3 months to get the work permit but what about the residence? he has no criminal records what so ever the immigration off said it would take 1-3yrs or even more!!??cant afford atourney spent too much on this as it it so any info would be GREAT!
If you didnt make enough on your tax forms and you need a sponsor that sponsor has to sign an affidavit saying that he/she will be financially responsible for the immigrant and the family if they should need anything. The sponsor will also have to submit their tac information to go with your petition. They make you do this because you can’t apply for state or welfare assistance…good luck any more questions email me!
