My husband got his L1-A visa for one year (start up company) and I got an L2. ?
I’m processing my EAD ( I’m a MD with an offer to work). However our visas end on August 30/09. My questions are:
1. When my husband should apply for the renewal?
2.Is there premium processing service for extensions of L1-A and L2 visas?
3. When should I apply for the extension of my L2 ( and my kids). I do not want to lose the continuity of my medical job.
4. When can we apply for permanent residence taking on account that ie is an start-up company in the US (branch of a canadian company)?
5. I need a good immigration lawyer in the area of Syracuse, NY.
Thanks
Your husband’s company can apply for an extension for your husband no less that 45 days before your I-94’s expire. You can receive extensions if the company can show evidence that the business is active and operating.
Premium processing is not available.
Your extension would depend upon your spouse’s. If he’s extended, you will be too. If he’s extended, then you could start working on your resident status through the company.
Syracuse is a great city. It might have a great immigration lawyer. If not, Buffalo does.
