How long does it take to obtain a Fiancé visa from the Bangkok Embassy?
I was wondering if anyone on here has had any experience in applying for a Fiancé Visa for someone currently living in Thailand? I’m in the UK now by the way.
I really want to get an understanding of how long it takes from submitted the completed application pack (which would be checked for completion by an immigration lawyer in the UK) to actually receiving the Visa. I’ve been quoted at 6 to 8 weeks but think this could be on the optimistic side.
If anyone has had any experiences they can share with me I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks for the responses so far. Just to add a bit more detail, I’m in my mid 20’s, good stable income, property owner, never married and no kids. She’s late 20’s, helps run a family restaurant, but divorced and does have 3 kids.
I’m not quite ready to up anchor and set sail to Thailand yet but maybe one day. Will the factors above affect the chances of a successful visa application?

The 6 to 8 weeks may be optimistic, it can take 6 months. It depends on your status, that is money, job, previous marriages, age difference.
Her position, and age, education, family.
There are lots of factors involved.
