Immigration question? Should I or my mother file for my half brother?
My mother has been in the US for over 40 years, she has her Naturalization? I am a US Citizen born and raised here in Texas. My half brother was born in Mexico he is about 10 years older than me and has been here for over 8 years but his paperwork has never processed through the Church.
We went to see an attorney on Saturday and they suggested that my mom pay to get her citizenship to then request for his paper work. They said if i did it, it would take 13 years since my relation to him is brother/sister. Is this true? 13 years!! Has anyone done this before what is fastest/easiest when dealing with immigration?
