Does an arrest affect the process of naturalization?
Hi,
I was caught in a “no-trespassing” zone and summoned for trespassing charge. My case was a “municipal ordinance”, so I hire a lawyer which may the case “no process”. This was in the city of Fort Lauderdale.
Will keeping the record of the arrest/summoned with a “no process” case affect me in any way with a future naturalization process?
Thank you in advance.
I wouldn’t worry about it, this particular charge is a misdemeanor and as long as you don’t have a history your naturalization process will continue as planned.
Something serious such as a DUI, robbery or a felony would probably put a hold on it.
I was charged with vandalism and I still got my citizenship
